3/29/23-Great news, the vet’s office was able to move Kelly & Patty’s spays up to this Friday 3/31! They are now ready to be matched to their new homes & can go home next week. Don’t miss out on these great girls!

03/28/23-Kelly is one energetic puppy! She loves to run and play, either with her humans or the other dogs. She also absolves loves toys! She always needs something to chew on. Treats are her absolute favorite thing though!  So much that she will try to claim them all for herself. She is not at all aggressive about it but will try to scarf everyone’s treat up for herself! She was forced to fight for food when it was available at her previous home and it shows.
Kelly is very sweet and loving! She has tons of energy to burn and a funny mischievous personality but when it’s time to cuddle she is ready!  She is very smart as well and you can see it in her face when she is “thinking”.
She has been doing well with potty training and has not been having accidents in her kennel when left for periods of time.
Kelly likes to bark at and chase the cat in her foster home, even though once she gets it she acts afraid and runs away! Lol Kelly really deserves a loving family to continue living her best life!

3/21/23-Kelly has been in foster care for a little over a week. She is really starting to settle into life in a home. She was living in a barn and kept in a small cage with hay most of the time. Everything has been new to her. She learned stairs pretty easy but the tv still makes her head tilt. Vacuums are very scary and even mops too! She loves toys and will collect as many as she can and hide them in her kennel. Kelly has a lot of puppy energy and enjoys all her new found freedom., running around the house doing zoomies and playing chase with the other dogs in the yard. She does eventually settle down though and has learned that snuggles on the couch are great! She also enjoys barking at the cat…until it gets close and then she doesn’t know what to do!
Potty training is a work in progress but is getting better. She was literally raised in a barn so it will just take time. She seems to like dogs of all sizes.  Kelly is also getting used to being on a leash so she can enjoy long walks with her new family! She will be ready as soon as she gets spayed in a couple weeks so apply now!

03/13/23-Please meet Kelly!  🍀 Kelly is an 8 month old puggle (pug/beagle) rescued from an overcrowded breeder. Kelly came in with Patty and were housed in the same crate in the barn they were housed in. They seem to love each others company but also do ok apart. Except at mealtime where they have to be separated or Kelly steals all the food! No food aggression though.  She is a bit thin so we will work on giving her extra treats to fix that! Kelly is very new to her foster home so there will be more updates as we learn more about her. As for now she is the typical puppy who likes pets and has lots of energy. The vet was backed up so she has a spay & checkup & shots appointment April 11th.  If all goes well then she will be ready for her new home after that!
