4/16/23-Brûlée is doing spectacular here at her foster home. Just yesterday she started to act like a 3 year old boxer that she is! She’s playful with all of us including our resident male canine now. She’s boxing and doing zoomies and when she’s not doing that, she’s wanting to snuggle with us. She’s so very soft considering how malnourished she was when she arrived. She’s eating well and putting on the weight that she needs. She’s doing well with “No” and starting to get a few other directions as well. She has gotten into the routine of all the pups and goes potty pretty quickly when she goes outside and then she’ll run right back in for breakfast or lunch.
4/13/23-Little Miss Brûlée has been getting acquainted to her temporary home with two kids and three other dogs. She is a petite cuddle bug that just wants to climb into your lap and snuggle. She is more confident than the typical Amish boxers we get. She’s very comfortable with stairs, food bowls, loud noises, etc. She just got spayed on Monday so she’s still in the healing process. She also has double ear infections that we are treating without difficulty. She’s a good patient though. She’s already begun chewing on toys and learning to be a real dog. As of right now, she’s getting along very well with her female canine companions but she’s a little unsure of the goofy male here. Still trying to figure out that piece of her personality because the male here is not a dominant dog at all.
4/8/23-Brûlée has arrived at her foster home and introductions have been made with all members of the family, human & dog. Will update more as we get to know her.
4/05/23-Brûlée is a beautiful 3 year old female boxer from a puppy mill. She came in today along with 2 other boxers as the owners are moving out of state soon. Her son is Banjo on the site too. Brûlée arrived safely into rescue thanks to her transport & hold volunteers. Her spay appointment is on Monday & she will be ready to go home soon after.
