4/16/23-Zara is a sweet girl. She loves hugs and full body scratches. No signs of aggression with tail, feet, ears. She eats in the same room as other dogs. Zara likes to follow the other dogs, but doesn’t play much yet. She doesn’t pay the cats any mind, and isn’t bothered by kids. Loud random noises startle her, and she isn’t a fan of baths. She had one accident when she first got here, otherwise seems to be house trained. Zara will walk on a leash but does pull at times. We are still trying to get all the mats out of her fur but she’s so patient!
04/14/23-Zara is a very pretty 2 year old female Standard Goldendoodle (Standard poodle/Golden Retriever). She was saved from being killed by a puppy mill as they were just done breeding her. She arrived safely into rescue tonight thanks to her transport volunteers. She did test positive for Lyme so she is on 30 days of antibiotics for that. She also came in severely matted & we are slowly working on trying to get them out or shave her some. Zara will be spayed on Wednesday 4/26. Once we get to know her better & she is spayed then she can be matched to her new home. More updates from her foster home soon!
