4/26/23-Oliver is doing great. If I could keep this puppy I would as he’s a dream! He’s so good, better than my dogs and they are grown. LOL On Sunday morning his skin was very rashy looking & he was really itchy, more than the prior 2 days. Today it looks better & less red & bumps are drying up. I think the antibiotics were killing his skin infection and it just all came out. He still looks scabby & itchy & I give him benedryl to help. If after his antibiotics his new family finds he still has skin issues they may want to check into possible food or environmental allergies too. Other than his skin, Oliver is perfect & ready to go to his new home!
4/23/23-Oliver is doing such a great job with potty training. He has only had a few accidents this weekend. He goes outside on his own, does his business then comes running back in the house. At bedtime he settles down in his crate after a few mins and then sleeps through the night with no accidents. He greets everyone he meets shaking his nub. He’s such a sweet boy who loves pets and sometimes even wants to be held. This puppy is such a good boy!
04/21/23-Oliver is an adorable neutered 14 week old male Wheaten Terrier. He was saved from being killed by a puppy mill as she just got too old to sell. He arrived safely into our rescue tonight thanks his transport volunteers. Oliver is a curious, happy, energetic puppy who loves to run and play! It’s hard to believe we just brought him home a few hours ago. He’s made himself at home running laps through the house and playing with his foster doggie siblings. He hasn’t stopped shaking his little nub since he got here. We estimate he will be about 40 lbs full grown. Oliver does have a skin infection with scabs & dandruff. He is on antibiotics & a medicated bath to help clear up the infection. It sure doesn’t slow him down any! LOL
