4/29/23-Rigel is such a character! He has a huge personality and has yet to meet anyone he doesn’t like or anything he’s afraid of. He gives our Boxer a piece of his mind if she has something he wants! He’s lost three or four of his baby teeth now, and is getting those adult teeth in. He is a hardcore teether and has been making use of all the chew toys. He has been sleeping all night in his crate and never messes in it. He sleeps better with a covered crate, and prefers his meals in his crate so he knows no one will bother him. He’s even been home alone (crated) for 3 hours with no issue.
Potty training is slow going. Rigel will go nearly every time he is outside, but still lots of accidents inside. We’ve started taking him out every 30 minutes during the day, as if he were a new baby puppy, and hopefully that gets that connection set in his head. He really enjoys being walked and loves when the kids run with him on leash. Rigel would be a great companion for a gardener as he’s wonderful at picking the heads off of dandelions in the yard! LOL
4/23/23-Hey I’m RIGEL! I like long snuggles, walks, running around outside or jogging with you, I really like cats too! I do NOT like baths or getting myself wet. It is TERRIBLE, oh my dog.
I’m looking for a long term relationship with someone who also enjoys the above things! I would be good in a home with a more mellow older dog, a chill puppy, or a puppy with good respectful social skills. I can TOTALLY be friends with your cat or kitten, and I love kids and other people! I give great kisses.
I’m pretty new to this home thing but am learning about pottying outside, house rules, being comfortable in a crate, and how to hang with my new housemates (they’re a little intimidating right now). 04/21/23-Rigel is a cute as a button tiny 16 week old Pinny-Poo (miniature pinscher/miniature poodle). He was bought as pet for the kids in a family. They are moving out of state to a smaller home & said there was not enough room for him & they didn’t want to take time to housebreak him. He arrived safely into rescue late tonight thanks to his transport volunteers. We estimate he will be only about 15 lbs full grown.
