5/1/23-Rio did great at the vet today. He had his checkup, first vaccines & rabies. Vet said he looked awesome and healthy. Rio is about 2 lbs smaller than his sister Rain, but he is the social one! He loves the other dogs. Rio is amazing with my almost 16 yr old chiweenie who has dementia, so gentle with him. I put harness on him to go the vet and he did very well. Rio is ready to go to his new home!
4/26/23-Today the pups ventured outside and no accidents, used the disposable pee pads! Rain the girl (dark face) is more reserved/shy and likes quiet, Rio the boy has no fear! LOL We accidentally missed their vet appointment yesterday for the checkup & shots so it’s now next Monday 5/1. After that they will be ready for their new homes!
4/24/23-So far so good! Rain has much longer legs than her brother Rio, he is heavier though. She is a cuddler and likes quiet. He just goes goes goes! LOL They have good recall if I whistle, working on learning their names. They sleep well in the round pen. Eat good together out of the same pan. I have a metal pan that is used for chickens or small piglets and it works great for puppies. They LOVE toys, are excellent with all my dogs even the seniors. Have looked out the back door but are not interested in tackling stairs so once the rain stops we will work on that. Vet tomorrow!
04/23/23-Rio is an adorable 13 week old puggle (pug/beagle) puppy rescued from an overcrowded breeder. He came in with his sister Rain & they were living in the same tiny cage in a barn with many other puggles. Tuesday 4/25 they will get a checkup, puppy shots & general worming & then they will be ready to go home!
